Vijay identifies DMK and BJP as main opponents | Tamil Nadu News

Tamil Nadu News

During his inaugural political address, he took aim at the ruling DMK government, arguing that their policies, which he deemed detrimental to public interest, are misleadingly branded as “Dravidian model governance” and fall short of genuine accountability. He also directed his criticism toward the BJP, condemning its opposition to secularism and divisive approach, positioning it as the primary ideological rival on the national stage.

Chennai: In the maiden conference of Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam, party president Vijay declared BJP as his ideological opponent and DMK as his political opponent. In his first political address, he criticized the ruling DMK government, stating that policies against public interest are mislabeled as “Dravidian model governance” and lack true accountability. He further criticized BJP for its opposition to secularism and divisive stance, identifying it as the party’s main ideological adversary in the national landscape.

Vijay said The political adversary of the TVK is a self-serving group that exploits the name of Periyar and Anna to plunder Tamil Nadu under the guise of the Dravidian model.

When my younger sister Vidya passed away, I experienced immense pain, a feeling that was similarly echoed when my sister Anita, despite her qualifications, lost her life due to the NEET examination. It was at that moment I resolved to do something for the children who call me brother.

Conducting a caste-based census is essential, as it will serve as the initial step towards achieving social justice

No one wishes to engage in politics that undermines others; instead, we will unite those who place their trust in us, including members from other parties, and grant them authority in governance.

Our political adversary is a family that engages in theft while invoking the name of Periyar Anna.

The BJP serves as our ideological opponent, while the DMK stands as our political rival.
