Bengaluru: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, TV9 Bharatvarsh in association with People’s Insight and Polstrat conducted opinion polls in all 28 constituencies in Karnataka and predicted that the BJP-JDS alliance is expected to win 23 seats and the Congress is expected to get five.
In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the JDS has decided to contest polls with its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partner. According to the reports, the JDS has agreed to contest three seats and the BJP on 25 seats.
According to the opinion poll, out of 25 seats set to be contested by the BJP, the saffron party is expected to get 22 and JDS might settle for just 1 seat. Going by the projections, the BJP is set to lose three seats when compared to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The JDS had won the 1 seat last time and is expected to retain it.
In a boost to Congress, the TV9 Baharatvarsh opinion poll predicts five seats for the opposition party in the Centre. In the 2019 polls, the Congress had won just one seat and the party is set to improve its tally by four more seats in the upcoming polls, according to the survey.

The ruling party at the Centre has set an eye on all 28 seats, but the opinion poll suggested that the saffron party might settle at 22 seats.
Meanwhile, the Congress has claimed that it would win at least 20 seats and is doing its best to repeat its performance in the Assembly elections held last year, but the survey has given them just five seats, which is still better compared to 2019 polls.
Survey methodology
For the opinion poll, a sample size of 20 lakh people was considered from all the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. The opinion was collected through a random number generator by IVR calls. The opinions were conducted between February 15 to March 15.
