New Delhi: American singer, actress, and entrepreneur Selena Gomez has now become a billionaire, thanks to her beauty brand, Rare Beauty. The 32-year-old actress’ total net worth is $ 1.3 billion. As per Deadline, the Only Murders In The Building actress has achieved the financial feat majorly through the success of her beauty brand alongside her other ventures.

Selena Gomez’s wealth is not only through her beauty brand but the valuation of her stake in mental health startup, Wondermind, has also added to the revenue, apart from revenue coming from music album sales, earning from streaming deals. concert tours, acing projects, brand partnerships, and real estate investments.

Selena Gomez is a billionaire now

The beauty brand’s success has been attributed primarily to Selena Gomez’s wealth, making her “youngest self-made” wealthy on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, alongside the likes of Rihanna and Taylor Swift. The beauty brand did net sales of $400 million in 12 months till February. Reportedly, the actress reached out to investors of Rare Beauty seeking a $2 billion valuation.

As per Bloomberg, the actress-singer has also become the world’s third most-followed celebrity on Instagram, just behind icons such as Christiano Ronaldo, who boasts 639 million followers and Lionel Messi, who has 505 million Instagram followers. Selena Gomez now boasts 424 million followers on Instagram.

Selena Gomez’s rise to fame

Selena Gomez rose to fame with Disney Channel’s show, Wizards of Waverly Place. She is also set to revisit her television roots with the upcoming sequel series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, set to premiere on October 29.

She was last seen in the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building, currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar. The show also also been renewed for the fifth season.
