Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two rallies at Chaibasa and Garhwa in poll-bound Jharkhand today. As per his schedule, the PM will arrive at Gaya airport in Bihar around 11am and then fly to Garhwa via helicopter.
After addressing the rally in Garhwa, the PM is scheduled to go to Ranchi and from there, he will further travel to Chaibasa to address another rally at around 2.30pm.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chouhan, who is also the poll-in-charge of Jharkhand, last week said that all arrangements have been made for PM Modi’s visit to the state.
Voting for the 81 seats of the Jharkhand Assembly will take place in two phases- November 13 and November 20- and the counting of votes will be held on November 23.
Amit Shah released BJP’s poll manifesto for Jharkhand
A day ahead of PM Modi’s visit to the state, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday addressed three rallies and released the BJP’s election manifesto. During his rallies, Shah targetted JJM-led state government over issues like Bangladeshi infiltrations, Maoism, and implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state.
Shah accusing JMM government of ‘patronising Bangladeshi infiltrators for vote bank’ and said that if BJP come to power, it will enact laws to prevent transfer of tribal land to illegal immigrants.

During his speech, Shah also announced that Naxalism would be eradicated by March 2026 and that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) would be implemented in Jharkhand without impacting the tribal population.
“Our ‘Mati, Beti, Roti (land, daughter and bread) are under attack. The BJP will not allow this to continue…We will bring in stringent legislation to prevent the transfer of tribal land to infiltrators. We will also take back the land grabbed by them and drive them out,” said Shah at Dhalbhumgarh in Ghatshila.
