New Delhi: Controversy has erupted once again involving one of the most influential social media personalities. But, this time, the piece of news is coming from across the border. Recently, a controversial clip labelled as Manahil Malik’s ‘explicit’ video went viral online. However, the Pakistani TikTok star quickly dismissed it as fake. Now, actress Mishi Khan is claiming otherwise.
The renowned actress, with more than 1,00,000 followers on Instagram, posted a video message alleging that Manahil herself leaked the video, inspired by Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan’s movie Heroine, to gain traction on the Internet.
Mishi stated that it was shameful to see influencers stooping to such lows for fame, resulting in disgracing their families, parents and society. She also mentioned that such individuals should be banned from using social media.
In her video message, Mishi said that in the widely circulated clip, Manahil was heard telling someone, “If you go anywhere else, I will make it go viral.” Mishi questioned why anyone would spend crores of rupees to create deepfakes.
Mishi also urged social media influencers to avoid using dishonourable tactics to gain fame and attention. She further encouraged people to promote good deeds and engage in positive actions. Her video message has taken Instagram by storm, receiving thousands of views.
