Multiple unauthorised clinics sealed in Greater Noida; Two hospitals summoned

On Tuesday, the Health Department sealed four unlicensed clinics in Noida after an investigation revealed illegal activities. Located in Bisrakh, Amnabad, and Jalpura village, the clinics were closed following inspections confirming the operators lacked valid licenses, according to Dr. Jaislal.

Greater Noida:  On Tuesday, the Health Department took swift action against unlicensed medical operations in Noida, sealing four clinics following an investigation that uncovered their illegal activities. The clinics in question were located in Bisrakh and Amnabad in Greater Noida and two more in Jalpura village.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jaislal confirmed that the department acted promptly upon receiving reports about the unlicensed clinics. During inspections, clinic operators were unable to present valid licenses, which prompted immediate intervention.

Legal proceeding to follow: Health Department

In addition to sealing the clinics, the Health Department announced that further legal proceedings will be initiated against the operators involved. The crackdown on unlicensed clinics comes alongside the issuance of show-cause notices to two hospitals that have been flagged for not meeting operational standards. The Health Department has warned that if satisfactory explanations are not provided, they may face closure as well.

This decisive action underscores the department’s commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining the integrity of healthcare services in the region.

Similar crack down in August

In another similar crackdown in August, the health department in Gautam Budh Nagar acted quickly on to close down two unregistered clinics in the Dadri area of Greater Noida. Senior officials reported that these clinics were treating patients without adhering to essential health and safety standards.

The clinics were sealed immediately, and a warning was issued against running such facilities without the necessary documentation. Health officials highlighted that this crackdown is part of a larger effort to enhance the quality of healthcare services for the community.
