Billionaires Mukesh ambani and Gautam Adani crashed out of the top 15 billionaire’s list following a decline in their net worth amid global market volatility owing to the US presidential polls.

New Delhi: Billionaires Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani’s fortunes plunged significantly amid a global sell-off prompted by volatility owing to the US presidential polls. While Reliance chairman Ambani slipped out of the $100 billion club, Adani’s slipped out of the top 15 billionaire’s rankings.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index Adani’s wealth declined by $2.06 billion to $92.3 billion while Ambani’s wealth was down $2.72 billion to $98.8 billion. While Ambani’s rank slipped to the 17th spot, Adani was down to the 18th rank, according to the Bloomberg billionaire’s Index.

Reliance Industries shares declined over 3.5 per cent in the past 2 days. The group reported a 4 per cent decline in value on Monday. Adani Ports’ share price tumbled over 4 per cent on Monday after the company shared its business update for the month of October. In the past month, while RIL’s share price was down 4.61 per cent, Adani Ports’ share price plunged nearly 2 per cent in the past month, according to exchange data.
Biggest losers on global billionaire’s list
The Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett’s wealth declined $2.76 billion to $140 billion while Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth declined $2.23 billion to $199 billion.
Tesla boss Elon Musk’s wealth declined by a whopping $4.39 billion to $258 billion, according to Bloomberg. Among the world’s top 10 billionaire’s, only Microsoft founder Bill Gates’ fortune rose $373 million to $157 billion.
