New Delhi: In India, Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric-enabled digital service for pensioners. Any pensioners of any government, be it central or state can avail of the facility. After retirement, the pensioners have to give life certificates to those agencies that give pensions like banks and Post Offices and only then do they get a pension. The prospective pensioner has to go through a lot of physical hazards to get the life certificate.

How can I download/submit life certificates for pensioners online?
You have to follow these steps to download Jeevan Pramaan Certificate online. They are:
Step 1: You need an Android smartphone with a front camera of 5MP and internet. Also, your Aadhaar number needs to be registered with the pension disbursing authority.
Step 2: Then you have to go to the Google Play store and download the ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face App’ and ‘AadhaarFaceRD’.
Step 3: Thanks to biometric technology, you can verify your identity.
Step 4: After submitting the necessary details, you have to use the front camera to take a photograph and submit everything.
Step 5: An SMS will be sent to download Jeevan Pramaan to the registered mobile number.
Here, it is important to remember that one cannot submit the life certificate online and one has to submit it directly to banks, post offices, or other authorities from where the pension will be disbursed.
What is the last date of life certificate for pensioners in 2024?
A pensioner has to submit the Jeevan Pramaan Patra by or on November 30. The government allowed those who are 80 years and above to file an Annual Life Certificate from October 1 instead of November 1. However, the deadline remains November 30.
