Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddarmaiah on Wednesday appointed five cabinet ministers as spokespersons of the government. The CM has ordered all department heads to provide them with all necessary information regularly.
Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Rural Development Minister Priyank Kharge, Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre and Labour Minister Santosh Lad have been given the additional charge to propagate the achievements of the government.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಚಿವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನರ ಮುಂದಿಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ.

The five ministers will be responsible for speaking on behalf of the government on all its schemes including the five ‘guarantees.’ The ministers have also be tasked to counter the allegations made by the opposition against the state government.
All five ministers are active and have been given more responsibilities to spread awareness among the people on the five schemes of the government ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress is holding ‘guarantee conventions’ across the state to reach as many people of as possible to garner votes ahead of the Lok Sabha polls due by May this year.
The Congress has been accusing the opposition BJP of peddling ‘lies’ against the state government. These appointments are seen as measures to tackle the opposition.
