Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at some places in Komarambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts on September 9, 10 while heavy rain is likely in Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad Jagtiyal, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Mulugu districts of Telangana.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is likely in Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy among others.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning is likely in many places over the next few days, IMD said.
Maximum temperature is recorded above 27 degrees Celsius at a few places while minimum temperature was recorded below 25 degrees at most places.
As the depression in Bay of Bengal moves further north, Monday will be the last day of heavy rain in north Telangana. Hyderabad is likely to receive scattered, moderate rain towards the evening and will be generally cloudy over the next few days.
Flash flood risk:
In a 24 hour outlook for flash flood risk, IMD said that low to moderate flash flood risk is likely over few watersheds and neighbourhoods of Coastal AP, Yanam – East Godavari, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram districts. The risk is likely till 11.30 on Tuesday.
Heavy rain is likely in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Eluru and East Godavari districts, rains under the influence of a deep depression in the Bay of Bengal.
Deep depression will gradually weaken into a depression by midnight on Monday, Sept 9. Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards across Chhattisgarh during subsequent 24 hours, the IMD said.
