New Delhi: Hollywood sensations Brad Pitt and George Clooney made waves at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday (September 1, 2024). The duo was reportedly seen dancing and hugging at the much-talked-about event to mark the world premiere of Wolfs.

You will be amazed to know that the Jon Watts directorial received a four-minute standing ovation at the ongoing festival. Brad and George, overwhelmed with joy, were visibly moved by the reception the action-comedy garnered.

In an interesting turn of events, the debut of Wolfs was delayed by 30 minutes as fans thronged Venice’s Sala Grande to catch a glimpse of the star-studded cast. Brad and George honoured their admirers’ enthusiasm by signing autographs and taking selfies ahead of the premiere.

While many believe that the four-minute standing ovation didn’t fully reflect the star power of Brad and George, it should be noted that the audience was prompted to leave the theatre due to the unexpected delay towards the beginning. George shared an adorable kiss with his wife Amal as the movie ended.

Wolfs release date

The film also features Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Zlatko Burić and Richard Kind in pivotal roles. Wolfs is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on September 20, 2024. It will be followed by a debut on Apple TV+ on September 27, 2024.

According to online reports, Apple TV+ engaged in a competitive bidding war for the flick. The OTT platform left behind both traditional studios and rival streaming services to acquire the rights of Wolfs. George and Brad, as lone wolf fixers, accidentally get hired for the same job to cover up a crime in the film.
