YRKKH written update: The latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, scheduled to air on September 28, 2024, begins with Abhira and Armaan taking Vidya’s blessings before they leave the Poddar house. Abhira asks Armaan not to worry as Vidya will sooner or later realise her mistake and call them back home. Just then, a pandit arrives at the house and informs that he has been called to perform last rites. When Armaan notices that Kaveri is missing, he looks for her. But, soon enough, Kaveri enters the hall. She asks the pandit to perform the last rites as her family is breaking apart.
Vidya interrupts Kaveri. However, Kaveri is furious at Vidya for making huge decisions without her consent. Armaan requests Kaveri to not blame Vidya. But, Kaveri protests that Armaan has always made an effort to keep his family together. So, why is it this time he is giving up on Vidya’s orders? She expresses disappointment towards Abhira. Kaveri mentions that she hoped Abhira would try harder to have a family but seems like she was wrong.

Vidya defends her actions, but Kaveri continues to blame her for breaking her family. With this, Kaveri gives Vidya a final chance to change her mind. Vidya decides to let Armaan and Abhira stay. However, she also declares that Armaan is not her son anymore. Kaveri adds that despite being angry at him, she would never think of throwing Armaan out of the house. She accuses Vidya of possibly not taking the same decision if it was Rohit in Armaan’s place.
Vidya is heartbroken at Kaveri’s accusations. Ruhi and Rohit console Vidya. She says that she is unhappy as Armaan has taken away Madhav’s dream to become a grandfather. Vidya explains that Armaan was wrong in marrying Abhira. She turns to Ruhi and Rohit and pleads with them to carry their legacy. Armaan worries that Vidya will treat him like a stranger. But, Abhira assures him that Vidya will come around.
