Kejriwal shifting to new bungalow with family
Party chief Arvind Kejriwal is also said to be shifting out of the official CM residence of the national capital. Kejriwal will be moving into an MP’s bungalow in the Lutyens’ Delhi on Friday.
Kejriwal, who resigned as Delhi CM last month, will stay here with his family. This bungalow on Ferozeshah Road near Mandi House — close to the AAP headquarters at Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane, was allotted to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal by Centre.
Kejriwal said he resigned as Delhi chief minister to seek a ‘certificate of honesty’ from Delhi residents. Once he wins their trust, he will return to the top post, he said. Assembly elections are likely to take place in Delhi in February next year.
Kejriwal, Sisodia out on bail in Delhi excise policy case
Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia were granted bail by the Supreme Court last month in connection with cases related to Delhi excise policy. Soon after coming out of jail, Kejriwal announced his resignation as Delhi CM. Minister Atishi was elected as Kejriwal’s replacement as Delhi CM.
While announcing his resignation, Kejriwal said that he will sit on Delhi CM’s seat only after regaining people mandate for the same in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
