Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will operate nearly 6,000 buses to facilitate the movement of people traveling for Dasara festival from October 1-15.
The buses will operate from Hyderabad and Secunderabad to other districts in the state and to other neighbouring states such as Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.
In the city, buses will depart from LB Nagar, Uppal, Aramghar, Santosh Nagar, KPHB and other parts of the city, TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar said.

The bus corporation is offering advance reservation facilities for special buses during the festive season. Booking services are available through TSRTC website and call centre numbers: 040-69440000, 040-23450033.
VC Sajjanar further stated that coordination with NHAI is ongoing to make sure special lanes for RTC buses at toll plazas during peak travel days.
A significant rise in travel is expected as Dasara festival approaches, he noted. With Dussehra on October 12, the busiest days are expected to be October 9, 10 and 11. To meet demand, additional buses will be deployed as and when they are needed.
