Samsung is expected to launch a special edition of its foldable series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Is it coming to India?

Samsung is rumoured to launch a special edition — the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Without any official details, it is generating excitement for its expected launch on October 25, 2024. Leaks and rumours about this phone have been ongoing since early this year, even before the Galaxy Z Fold 6 was launched in July 2024. While there were concerns about delays, recent leaks suggest that Samsung is gearing up for the launch of this new foldable phone this month!

Initial reports indicated that Samsung had halted development, which led to the concerns of a delayed release. However, in July, another leak pointed to an October launch date. Recently, a South Korean retailer shared a poster that hinted at the launch and pre-order details for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which may be linked to the Ultra variant.

The leaked information suggests that pre-orders for the device will be available in South Korea from October 18 to October 24, leading up to the official launch on October 25. While the authenticity of the poster is still unconfirmed, it is still important to keep an eye on the upcoming happenings.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra: Features and Specifications

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is expected to offer significant upgrades. Speculations suggest that it will feature a larger 8-inch main display and a thickness of 10.6mm when folded. The phone’s cover screen is expected to measure around 6.5 inches, compared to the 6.3-inch cover display on the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6. Additionally, the Ultra version is rumoured to be slimmer and lighter than previous models, making it more portable.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra Availability

While the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is initially targeted for release in South Korea, there are rumours that it may also launch in select markets, including India. A dedicated page for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition has appeared on Samsung India’s website, which hints at its potential availability. As of now, the Special Edition is rumoured to be available in limited markets, and Samsung has not confirmed the global launch strategy.
