Samsung to launch a special edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 on October 21? Here is what all you need to know.

Samsung is preparing to launch a new addition to its Galaxy Fold series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Samsung shared a teaser suggeting launch something new on October 21, which hinst towards the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. Although the company has kept the details under wraps, rumours and leaks suggest that the Special Edition will introduce several upgrades to design and features, differentiating it from the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Here is what all we need to know about the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition: Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is expected to feature notable design upgrades. According to reports, the foldable will have a more refined look with a rectangular camera module, replacing the pill-shaped design of the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. Another major design change is in the device’s thickness, which could be reduced to 10.6mm when folded, compared to the 12mm thickness of the standard model.

In terms of display, the Special Edition might come with an 8-inch internal screen and a 6.5-inch outer screen, both of which are larger than the 7.60-inch internal and 6.3-inch outer screens found on the regular model. These subtle design tweaks, combined with Samsung’s signature foldable technology, are expected to make the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition more appealing to users seeking a larger display.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition: Camera and Other Features

One of the standout features rumoured for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is a 200MP primary camera. This would be a significant upgrade from the 50MP camera on the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, offering enhanced image quality. The camera module is also expected to have a rectangular layout, giving the device a more modern aesthetic.

Like its predecessor, the Special Edition will support S Pen functionality, making it a versatile device for productivity tasks. Additionally, it will feature a titanium frame, ensuring a balance between durability and elegance. While these features are expected to elevate the user experience, they may also distinguish the Special Edition from other foldable phones on the market.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition Availability

Unlike the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Special Edition may have a limited release. Samsung is reportedly planning to launch this device exclusively in South Korea and China. This restricted availability suggests that the Special Edition might not be available in other global markets. Will it launch to India? There is no word on this.
