The GT3 is possibly one of the most highly anticipated models of any of the 911 series and Porsche just teased the next generation which will debut on October 18th.
Porsche has just teased the next generation of the 911 GT3.
Porsche is going to debut the new generation of the 911 GT3 on October 18th, 2024. The 992.2 version was launched only recently and the GT3 is up next. Here is what we know so far.
The teaser images showcases the ever so recognizable silhouette of the 911 GT3. The wing seems to be the same size as the previous one but we are sure that there will be increased Aero on this one and a lot of design details inspired by the GT3 RS.
Much of the car is not visible but we assume that there will be new bumpers all round and new wheels. Rumor says it that there will actually be two launches on October 18th and we presume that one is going to be the regular GT3 and the other is going to be the wingless GT3 Touring.
The 992.2 911 like all 911’s is not a revolutionary change but an evolution and the best iteration of the last 911. We are not sure what engine Porsche is going to put into it but there is a possibility that it would be the same as the 4.0L flat-six screamer of an engine which revved up to 9,000 rpms in the 992.1. Transmission options would most likely include the 8-speed PDK and the beautiful 6-speed manual gearbox.
The GT3 is one of the most important cars for the 911 lineup and one of our favorites. It will make its debut on October 18th, 2025 at 12:30 PM ET. We cannot wait to see the new GT3 in all its glory and what it has to offer over an already perfect 992.1 generation GT3.
