Myntra Launches AR-Based ‘Looks Virtual Try-On’ for Beauty Products
Myntra has introduced an Augmented Reality (AR) feature called ‘Looks Virtual Try-On.’ What is it? This AR-powered tool allows you to virtually try on multiple beauty products, such as foundation, eyeshadow, and lipstick, all at once. The best part is that you can access this feature directly from the Myntra app and experiment with complete makeup looks before making a purchase.
The shopping giant has mentioned that the AR-based feature has been developed in collaboration with ModiFace, which is a beauty tech company known for its augmented reality solutions. The tool brings makeup looks straight from the runway to your screens, starting with options from L’Oréal and Maybelline. The feature initially offers four to five complete makeup styles, including those worn by L’Oréal Paris’s global ambassador Alia Bhatt during the Paris Fashion Week.
In future, Myntra is planning to expand the AR feature to cover 10-12 more brands in the coming months, making it easier for you to explore a wide variety of makeup products and styles. By the third phase, the tool will include products from all major beauty brands available on Myntra. Moreover, future updates will also introduce virtual try-ons for nail colours and hair dyes, the company mentioned.

The AR-powered ‘Looks Virtual Try-On’ simplifies the shopping experience. How? You can simply add all the products used in a virtual look to your cart with a single click. This allows you to quickly move from exploring makeup combinations to purchasing products and reducing the time spent on exploring, considering the best product and then finding it to add to your cart. To boost its visibility, Myntra has integrated the AR feature across its app. You can easily access it on relevant product pages and recommendations.
Apart from this, Myntra’s other AI-driven tools, like the Skin Analyser and Product Finder, have already personalised the beauty shopping experience. By using augmented reality, Myntra is making it easier and more enjoyable to explore new styles and try on products virtually.
