A 59 year old man, came out after seeing his wife who is undergoing treatment in Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Girgaum. Around 8:00 pm, when he stepped out of the hospital, a minor boy rammed the bike into him. The man is reported to be in a critical condition.

Mumbai: A minor boy who was riding a Royal Enfield Bullet motorbike, hit a 59-year-old man named Pinaki Dey on Tuesday. The man is hospitalised and is on a ventilator support. The boy was released after serving a notice while the bike-owner has been booked as a co-accused, according to the police.
Pinaki Dey, director of a software firm named Atos India, came out after seeing his wife who is undergoing treatment in Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Girgaum. Around 8:00 pm, when he stepped out of the hospital, a minor boy rammed the bike into him.
Bullet was in high speed
As per a report published by Hindustan Times, Pinaki went out of the hospital for having dinner at around 8:00 pm. He was crossing the road after coming out from the gate number 2 of the hospital. A Bullet bike came towards Bata Junction from Prathana Samaj in high speed and hit him. According the police officer, the biker escaped away from the site of accident. The local residents rushed towards Dey and admitted him in the same hospital. The staff of the hospital identified him and informed his daughter about the incident. He is in a critical condition and on a ventilator support.
Severe injuries in head
His wife informed, “Tuesday night, Pinaki went outside the hospital to have dinner as he knew the area. A Bullet bike came from Prathana Samaj in high speed towards the Bata Junction which hit him. He fell on his head which led to severe injury causing a lot of blood loss.”
Case registered in various sections
According to the police officer, the boy was released after he served the notice period while the owner of his bike Hemant Gomane, has been made a co-accused. Case under multiple section has been booked against them which include Section 281 for rash driving or riding on a public way, Section 125B to act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others of the BNS, 2023 and Section 180 of the Motor Vehicles Act for allowing unauthorised persons to drive vehicles.
