Mumbai rains: BMC to probe death of woman in drain
The Mumbai civic body on Thursday announced a high-level probe into the death of a 45-year-old woman after she fell into a storm water drain here following heavy rains. Meanwhile, the police have also registered a case of accidental death.
The woman identified as Vimal Anil Gaikwad, died in the incident that occurred at 9.20 pm on Wednesday near gate no. 8 of MIDC, Andheri East, police have said.

IMD Mumbai Rain Alert News LIVE: Central Railway says all local trains are running normally
Central Railway’s chief public relations officer Swapnil Nila said, “All local trains are running normally. On the main line 3-4 minutes behind schedule because of rescheduled Mail, Express (train) movements and few cautions. Rest all normal.” Western Railway’s suburban services, which were mostly unaffected as there was no waterlogging on tracks anywhere between Churchgate and Virar stations, were also running normally since morning.

Woman drowns in nullah after heavy rain
A 45-year-old woman drowned in a nullah overflowing due to heavy rains in suburban Andheri on Wednesday. The incident occurred at around 9.20 pm near gate no. 8 of MIDC, Andheri East. The victim was identified as Vimal Anil Gaikwad.
