MLA Arikepudi Gandhi booked for ‘attempted murder’ of BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy

Arikepudi Gandhi was also booked for criminal trespass, rioting, unlawful assembly, property damage along with attempted murder.

Hyderabad: Congress leader and Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi and others have been booked by the Cyberabad Police for allegedly attempting to kill BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, Tv9 telugu reported.

Gandhi was booked under 109(1),189,191(2),191(3),132,329,333,324(4),324(5),351(2), r/w 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are related to criminal trespass, rioting, unlawful assembly, property damage, and attempted murder after a complaint by Kaushik Reddy.

In his complaint, Reddy narrated the sequence of events from September 11 and 12, including on the verbal and physical attacks exchanged between BRS and Congress workers and leaders.

Acting on a second complaint, Gachibowli police registered a case for reportedly assaulting local police officers stationed outside Kaushik Reddy’s residence. As per this complaint filed by sub-inspector Mahesh Goud, Gandhi and his followers forced their way inside the gated apartment building, despite the efforts of the police officers to stop them.

KTR questions Arikepudi Gandhi:

In the midst of the chaos, BRS working president KT Rama Rao challenged the 10 turncoat MLAs to reveal which party they belong to. KTR also asked Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to consider disqualification petitions filed by the BRS as per the ruling of Telangana High Court.
