New Delhi: A man noticed that his waiting on RAC ticket changed from 12 to 18. Frustrated by the incident, the man took to social media and questioned the railway department’s reservation system. Fortunately, his issue was resolved by the department and he could travel.
Himanshu Jha booked tickets for the Swatantrata Senani Express from New Delhi to Darbhanga to celebrate Chhath with his kin. Despite buying the tickets weeks in advance, the man was stuck on a waiting list of 124. He then noticed that he was 12 in line. Shockingly, the next time he checked, the RAC ticket was at 18. Jha, who is a journalist by profession, shared his experience on X. He questioned the reservation system in the viral post. “…On October 30, the ticket RAC was 31. Yesterday it was stuck at RAC 12. When the chart was prepared today, the waiting became 18…,” said the man on social media.
