Hyderabad: The long-awaited Swadeshi Mela 2024 is just around the corner, scheduled to take place from October 23 to 27 at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road. Organised by the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) and Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, this vibrant event aims to spotlight India’s local entrepreneurs and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), while promoting self-reliance among citizens.

Attendees can look forward to a remarkable showcase of Bharatiya products that blend tradition with modernity. The Mela will feature offerings from large, medium, small-scale, and cottage industries, highlighting everything from exquisite handicrafts to advanced electronics and innovative IT solutions. This year’s event promises to illustrate the incredible diversity and creativity within India’s indigenous sectors.

Exhibition catered with range of cultural events

In addition to product displays, the Mela will host a variety of cultural events, seminars, workshops, and training programs aimed at fostering appreciation for Swadeshi products in the contemporary economy. Visitors can expect an extensive range of items, including consumer electronics, self-help group (SHG) products, and Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) offerings that celebrate India’s rich heritage.

The event will also showcase a captivating array of handmade jewelry, healthcare products, handlooms, and traditional handicrafts. Ayurvedic and yoga centers, along with furniture displays, will add to the experience. Food lovers can indulge in an assortment of baked goods, spice preserves, and everyday consumer products. Essential service sectors such as healthcare, kitchen appliances, real estate, and electrical fittings will also be represented, alongside stalls from government departments, NGOs, and national tourism.
