Honda has recalled another 7,20,000 cars over a high pressure fuel pump issue. Honda came into light recently for recalling around 1.7 million cars over a steering rack issue.

Honda cannot get a break from recalls. Honda recently put out a recall for 1.7 million vehicles over a steering rack issue where the car’s steering would get hard. They have no recalled another 700,000 vehicles over a high pressure fuel pump issue which needs to be replaced.
The issues spans on cars which are built in the US across 2023, 2024 and 2025 model years. the issue spans to 2023-2025 Honda CRV, 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, Civic Sedans and Civic Sedan Hybrids. The issue is related to the high pressure fuel pump which may crack from the inside and cause fuel leaks which can also lead to a fire.
Honda has till now received no reports of fires which have caused any injury or crashes. Honda will replace the fuel pump free of cost and customers will have to take their vehicles to the service station to get them checked and replaced. Honda will officially start sending notification for the fuel pump replacement from December. Honda has been struggling quite a bit with all the recalls. There was the steering rack issue which has caused some accidents due to the steering wheel becoming sticky after a while. Honda says that this problem only persists only in 1% of the recalled cars but it is still a huge number. They are also under investigation for a Auto Emergency Braking system as well which has caused 31 crashes and 58 injuries till now.
