Earlier today, an Indigo flight was forced to abort its landing due to wind shear, diverting the aircraft to Ahmedabad. By late evening, 14 flights bound for Mumbai had been diverted, and more disruptions are expected. SpiceJet has cautioned passengers that both departures and arrivals could face significant delays, advising travelers to check the airline’s website for the latest updates.

Mumbai’s suburban railway system, a critical lifeline for millions of daily commuters, is also grappling with the impact of heavy rainfall. Waterlogged tracks at key stations like Kurla, Bhandup, and Vikhroli have caused delays of up to an hour on the Central Railway (CR) line. Some stations, including Nahur, Kanjurmarg, and Vidyavihar, are bypassing trains due to flooded platforms. On the Western Railway line, cancellations have led to overcrowding at major stations like Churchgate, further complicating the city’s transportation network.
