Haldwani: In a unique environmental awareness campaign, retired Professor Santosh Mishra from MBPG College in Haldwani lay down on a bier while still alive to spread his message. His dramatic act aimed to awaken public consciousness about environmental protection.

He also made an emotional appeal to use electric crematorium to perform last rites instead of burning wooden logs. This surprising act has sparked widespread discussion among the locals in Haldwani.

To draw attention to this issue, he decorated a bier, laid down on it, and made an emotional appeal to the public to use the electric crematorium instead of burning bodies, emphasizing the importance of this environmentally friendly practice.
