Greater Noida: A large section of plaster from the ceiling fell in a flat in the fifth avenue of Gaur City 1 residential society in Greater Noida West. A boy was seriously hurt in the mishap. He sustained injuries in his hand and head.
The incident has led to panic among the residents of the society. They questioned the quality of the construction of the residential society. As per reports, structural audit of the society is stuck. A case has been filed under Bisrakh police station of Greater Noida.
Cobra spotted in Gaur City 1
In a separate incident, a cobra was spotted in park side area of Gaur City 1 in Greater Noida. The incident alerted the local residents. The snake was sighted near Tower C. Shortly thereafter, a safety notice was distributed to inform residents about the situation and advise them to be vigilant while traversing the area.
Conducting a risky operation, security team deployed at Gaur City 1 captured the snake. The reptile was was then handed over to the forest department officials. The snake was later released into its natural habitat.
In another incident that took place on July 16, eight people were trapped in a lift in one of the towers at Gaur City 2 in 14th Avenue. The incident took place shortly after the implementation of UP Lift and Escalator Act-2024. There were four school children between 9 and 15 years of age in the lift. The eight people were stuck inside the lift for nearly 30 minutes. The incident occurred due to a power trip. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. However, those trapped in the lift faced difficulty in breathing as the AC and fan in the lift also stopped working.
