New Delhi: Billionaire Elon Musk said, “Game, set and match,” as Republican and former US president Donald Trump inched closer to defeating his Democrat rival Kamala Harris in the US Presidential elections.

The phrase Elon Musk used on the social media platform X, is often heard after a tennis match to suggest that a competitor has emerged victorious.

Elon Musk, who is a staunch supporter of Trump, said earlier on Wednesday that he intended to spend the election night with the former US president.

He has contributed $118 million to political action committee

Elon Musk, who is the world’s richest man, has pumped millions into supporting the Republican presidential candidate since he endorsed for him in July this year. He has also reportedly contributed almost $118 million to his political action committee, an organisation that raises funds for polls.

Seventy-nine-year-old Trump has vowed to make the United States the “bitcoin and cryptocurrency capital of the world” and to assign Elon Musk the responsibility of carrying out a comprehensive audit of government waste.
