However, with the festivities often extending into warm and humid nights, maintaining your makeup can be a challenge. During the garba or dandiya nights, it might be difficult for women and even men to maintain their glow and get a radiant-looking makeup face at all times. However, with the correct approach and expert tips, you can maintain a long-lasting makeup look for Navratri.

Internet personality, Kripa Joshi shared with News9live.com a few insights from her personal experiences as well as expert tips on how to let your make-up stay all day long with sweat, dust and dirt to do no harm to it.

Makeup tips to get sweat-proof Navratri look

Kripa shares, “Navratri is my favourite festival, and being a Gujju, I’ve celebrated it since I was just 3 or 4 years old. Over the past five years in the beauty industry, I’ve experimented with countless makeup products, discovering effective tips for achieving super long-lasting makeup during this festival.”

Here’s how you can keep your makeup fresh and flawless, even while dancing the night away.

1. Prime like a pro: Start with a pore-filling and mattifying primer. This will reduce the appearance of your pores and help delay the sweating process. A good primer creates a smooth base, ensuring that your foundation adheres better and lasts longer throughout the night.
2. Layering: For blush, I recommend layering a powder blush over a cream blush. Cream blushes are often more sweat-resistant than powders, and combining the two enhances longevity. The cream acts as a base, while the powder helps set it, providing a beautiful flush that stays intact even in humid conditions.
3. Following the sandwich method: One of my favourite tips is the sandwich method for setting your makeup. After completing your full face, and right before applying mascara (which should be your last step), spray a generous amount of setting spray all over your face and allow it to dry.
4. Next, take your choice of setting powder, loose, compact, or pressed and set your face, focusing on areas like your under eyes, smile lines, forehead, and T-zone. After the powder has set, spritz your face with setting spray once again. This sandwiching technique ensures your makeup remains long-lasting and transfer-proof, allowing it to look natural and skin-like, without the dreaded cakey appearance.
5. Water-resistant products: Lastly, never underestimate the power of water-resistant and smudge-proof mascara and eyeliner. These products are essential for keeping your eye makeup intact, especially during the lively and often sweaty celebrations of Navratri.

By incorporating these tips, you can enjoy this festival without worrying about your makeup.
