Experience Uttar Pradesh from the skies: All you need to know about helicopter tours
Mumbai: The state of Uttar Pradesh has introduced helicopter services that provide aerial tours of its iconic destinations to boost tourism. One can enjoy stunning views of Ayodhya, Agra, Mathura, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Varanasi.
These services are offered by Rajas Aero Sports and Adventure to make aerial sightseeing accessible for tourists and locals. It will allow the travellers to experience Uttar Pradesh’s spiritual and cultural sites from above.
A key advantage of this service is that it will save time which will appeal to tourists eager to visit multiple locations in a limited timeframe. Fares for the service have been announced, along with a special offer for early bookings.
Fares
For the first 60 hours after the launch, passengers can enjoy a 40% discount on fares. After this promotional period, standard rates will apply. The current fares are as follows:
Aerial darshan of Ram Mandir: INR 4,130 per person (one way)
Ayodhya to Gorakhpur: INR 13,373
Ayodhya to Varanasi: INR 18,388
These prices include an 18% GST.
This initiative follows the announcement of catamaran boat rides in the holy cities of Ayodhya, Mathura, and Kashi. A partnership between the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Corporation and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) will see two catamaran boats delivered to each city.
Currently, Ayodhya and Varanasi have received one catamaran each, with a capacity for 50 passengers. The Tourism Corporation has requested that future catamarans feature open-air designs, complete with a deck, pantry, toilets, and other amenities to ensure a comfortable experience for tourists.
