OpenAI’s ChatGPT has always been a great AI bot for everyone and over the time, it has got some serious updates including the voice search, image generator, access to upload documents, and a lot more. However, it always skipped that one crucial feature that can change how you search or explore topics, the ability to search the web. Finally, OpenAI is releasing ChatGPT Search which can help you search the web in a much better way than before. 

So far, ChatGPT users had to switch to Google search to find the information in the real time, however, the integration of search on web feature with ChatGPT will help you avoid those extra steps. Will it kill the Google Search? Well, it is difficult to say now. However, the feature is supposed to make a huge difference in the world of AI. 

“Hey I’m really sorry to keep hyping our own product but you really should get ChatGPT Plus and install the Chrome extension for search. I am cheerfully the first to admit when we ship something that isn’t very good, but this time it’s…really good,” Sam Altman, ChatGPT CEO recommended in a post on X. 

ChatGPT Search Feature: Who Will Get It?

Starting October 31st, ChatGPT Plus and Team users, along with those on the SearchGPT waitlist, can access the ChatGPT search feature. While the Enterprise and Edu users will get access within the next few weeks. Don’t worry, if you are a free user, then OpenAI has even plans to roll out this crucial feature in the coming months for all. You will be able to find the ChatGPT Search feature on chatgpt.com as well as on our desktop and mobile apps. 

How to use it? Once available, ChatGPT will help you choose the search on the web on the basis of what you ask. Well, you will be able to manually choose the Search by clicking on the web search icon.
