“Despite the celebratory atmosphere of the Navratri festival, this individual seamlessly managed to participate in his work meeting, embodying the spirit of multitasking that is often associated with Bengaluru’s tech-savvy professionals,” said the caption. Netizens were quick to disagree with the positive perspective shared in the caption.
Many asked professionals to stop promoting such behaviour. They urged employees to say no and focus on their mental and physical health. One stated, “This normalization should stop otherwise all techies would suffer from health issues due to stress. There is a need to have a personal time at times.”
Another wrote, “Stop normalising this in the name of peak Bengaluru moment.” A third person called the situation “depressing” and opined that people who do not believe in work-life balance should not take on management positions as they would normalize these unhealthy practices.
