Pune-based game development studio SuperGaming is all set to turn up the heat in the Indian esports scene with the announcement of the Indus International Tournament, boasting a record-breaking prize pool of ₹2.5 crore. This makes it the largest prize pool ever for a battle royale game in India, pushing the country’s esports landscape to new heights.
The tournament is part of SuperGaming’s year-long ‘Clutch India Movement’ esports roadmap, which aims to strengthen India’s presence in the global gaming scene. Kicking off in October 2024 and running until February 2025, the competition will feature top Indian and international teams vying for glory in a series of four tournament phases.
“When we set out to create Indus, our goal was to craft a game that Indian gamers could truly call their own. With the Indus International Tournament, we want to see new heroes rise from our community and take their place in the larger esports ecosystem,” said Roby John, CEO and Co-founder of SuperGaming.

The final phase, International, invites global teams to compete for the top spot, leading to the Grand Finale in February 2025. The winning team will take home a whopping ₹2 crore, making it one of the richest esports events in India’s history.
Roby John added, “India’s esports landscape is rapidly evolving, and we believe the country is ready to compete on the world stage. Through this tournament, we’re excited to elevate India’s presence in esports and inspire a new generation of players to pursue gaming at a professional level.”
