Ratan Tata passed away Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital late on Tuesday evening . He was keeping unwell since long time. A team of doctors was monitoring his health.
Mumbai: Noted industrialist and chairman emeritus Ratan Tata passed away in Mumbai on Tuesday night. The 86-year-old was unwell for some time and was admitted to Breach Candy hospital. A team of doctors was taking care of him since he was admitted to the hospital.
Recently, he had gone for routine check-up . Sharing a message, he had ruled out any critical illness on his social media handle. Earlier this evening, news agency Reuters reported that he was critical citing people familiar with the development.

Condoling his death, PM Modi wrote on X, “Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness and an unwavering commitment to making our society better.”

“Saddened by the passing away of Shri Ratan Tata. He was a Titan of the Indian industry known for his monumental contributions to our economy, trade and industry. Earlier, the Chairman of the RPG Group, Harsh Goenka took to X to inform that Tata was no more. “The clock has stopped ticking. The Titan passes away. Ratan Tata was a beacon of integrity, ethical leadership and philanthropy, who has imprinted an indelible mark on the world of business and beyond. He will forever soar high in our memories. R.I.P,” he wrote on X.
