JetSynthesys has unveiled that prominent business figures Nikhil Kamath, Ankit Nagori, and Prashanth Prakash have become franchise owners for the Bengaluru team in Season 2 of the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL).
GEPL Season 2: Bengaluru Team Owned by Business Leaders
JetSynthesys, has announced that prominent business figures Nikhil Kamath, Ankit Nagori, and Prashanth Prakash are the new franchise team owners for the Bengaluru team in Season 2 of the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL).
These industry leaders are bringing their expertise to the esports world. Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha, India’s largest stock brokerage firm; Ankit Nagori, founder of Curefoods, a major name in the food industry; and Prashanth Prakash, a partner at global venture capital firm Accel, are teaming up to elevate the competition.
Last year’s GEPL was a hit, attracting over 200,000 registrations. After a rigorous selection process, the top 64 players formed eight teams. They battled it out in “Real Cricket,” a popular cricket video game developed by JetSynthesys. The tournament reached more than 70 million people across various platforms and was streamed on JioCinema, garnering over 1.1 million minutes of viewership.
Excitement Builds for Season 2

What to Expect in GEPL Season 2
The finals for GEPL Season 2 are scheduled for January 2025. This year, the league is introducing an expanded team format and new guidelines to elevate the competition. Top players will receive competitive salaries, turning their passion for gaming into successful careers.
