Haryana and J&K Election Results 2024 results.eci.gov.in LIVE: The results of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections 2024 will be out on October 8, Tuesday, October 8. The results will be declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The vote counting will start at 8am.
The poll officials and representatives from political outfits will reach the counting centres by 5am. They will be given a briefing at their respective counting tables by 6am and the counting of votes will begin at 8am.
How the votes will be counted
The poll officials will first count postal ballot votes cast by people belonging to specific groups, including differently abled citizens, security personnel and those government staff who were engaged in providing essential services. Votes cast using EVMs will be calculated after this. The early trends of the polls will emerge by noon and a clearer picture will become visible by 2-3 pm.
The Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls to 90-member constituencies were held for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370. The elections were held in three phases: September 18, September 25, and October 1. Meanwhile, the single-phase polls in Haryana for 90 assembly seats took place on October 5.

This app allows one to track candidates who are leading, trailing, and winning, and also view results by constituency or state.

According to most exit polls, in Haryana the Congress will come back to power after 10 years. The exit polls showed a thin edge for the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP is predicted to become the largest party in Jammu region, the exit polls predicted.
