BJP Karnataka Candidates Second Full List for Lok Sabha Election 2024: The BJP has fielded Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar from Mysuru. The BJP has also given a ticket to former Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai from Haveri. The BJP has denied ticket to nine sitting MPs from Karnataka.

Bengaluru: The BJP on Wednesday released the list of 72 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, out of which 20 names have been released from Karnataka. The BJP has denied tickets to sitting MPs Pratap Simha, Nalin Kumar Kateel and former Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda among others.
In the list of 20 names from Karnataka, the BJP has given a ticket to former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai from Haveri. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi to contest from Dharwad, and former minister V Somanna has been fielded from Tumakuru. The BJP has given a ticket to Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the scion of the erstwhile Mysuru Royal family from the Mysuru constituency.
The party has given the ticket to Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje from Bengaluru North instead of her present constituency Udupi-Chikkamagaluru. The party has fielded the Opposition leader in the Legislative Council Kota Srinivas Poojary from the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru seat.
Famous cardiologist and son-in-law of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda Dr CN Manjuanth will contest from Bengaluru Rural. As expected Tejasvi Surya has got a ticket from Bengaluru South, PC Mohan from Bengaluru Central. BS Yediyurappa’s son and sitting MP BY Raghavendra has got the ticket from Shivamogga.
Interestingly, the party has given a ticket to former minister B Sriramulu from Ballari instead of sitting MP Y Devendrappa. In Dakshina Kannada, the saffron party has denied a ticket to former state president and sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and replaced him with Captain Brijesh Chowta. The party has replaced sitting MP Srinivas Prasad from Chamarajanagar with S Balaraj.
In Davanagere, the party has given a ticket to Gayathri Siddeshwara, wife of sitting MP GM Siddeshwara. Dr Basavaraj Kyavator has been given a ticket from Koppal instead of Karadi Sanganna.
In Chikkod, the party has given a ticket to Annasaheb Jolle, PC Gaddigoudar from Bagalkot, Ramesh Jigajinagi from Vijayapura, Dr Umesh Jadhav from Kalaburagi, and Union Minister Bhagwanth Khuba from Bidar.
Names for 5 constituencies kept pending
The BJP has kept the names of five candidates pending as several candidates are in the fray. Among the constituencies which have been kept on hold are Chitradurga, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Chikkaballapura, and Raichur. The other three seats are likely to be allotted to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partner JDS.
