Bigg Boss 18: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Disha Vakani offered Rs 65 crore? | Bigg Boss News

Bigg Boss News

If sources are to be believed, Disha does not believe in being in front of the camera 24 hours a day, nor does she want to be portrayed negatively on TV. Also, she wants to devote her full attention to her children, who are still very young.

New Delhi: There is no doubt that Bigg Boss is one of the biggest shows in India. The highly-loved reality series, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, is known for featuring some of the most talked-about faces in the entertainment industry by offering them hefty paycheques. And it wouldn’t be wrong to say that very few have the courage to turn down such attractive deals. However, it seems Disha Vakani is a different breed altogether.

According to a report by TV9Hindi.com, the 46-year-old star was offered Rs 65 crore to appear on the controversial show as a contestant. But, she declined the offer with grace.

Why did Disha Vakani turn down Bigg Boss 18?

For the unversed, Disha started her career in the entertainment industry as a child actor and her father Bhim Vakani was a renowned theatre artist. In her impressive career, she has played notable roles in films such as Shah Rukh Khan starrer Devdas and Hrithik Roshan’s Jodhaa Akbar. Despite her work in films, it was her portrayal of the character Daya in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) that earned her nationwide fame.

Yet, Disha prefers to keep her personal life away from the limelight. She prefers to keep her husband and children out of the public eye. Disha’s children are still very young. Her elder daughter is 7 years old and her son is just 2 years old. She has distanced herself from her acting career because of her children and is not at all willing to leave them and stay in the Bigg Boss house for three months.
