Telangana CM announces bonuses for Singareni employees
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday announced a total bonus of Rs 796 crore for the employees of Singareni Collieries Company limited (SCCL).
In a press conference, DY CM Vikramarka said that Singareni has made a profit of Rs 4,701 crore in FY 2023-24. Of this, Rs 2,289 crore will be invested to expand the company.
There are 41,837 workers and on an average, each worker is set to get a bonus of Rs 1.90 lakh and 25,000 contractual employees will also get a bonus of Rs 5,000. Last year, the workers received a bonus of Rs 1.70 lakh.
“We are sharing 33 percent of the profit with the employees and we are investing in expanding Singareni. This profit amount will be released before Dasara,” Vikramarka said.
CM Revanth Reddy said that Singareni workers played a very active role in realizing the dream of a separate Telangana state. “We are making families of the workers very happy by sharing the profits.”
