New Delhi: Several parts of the national capital are set to witness water supply disruptions on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 1 and October 2), announced the Delhi Jal Board on Monday. The water supply authority informed the city residents that a 16-hour water supply disruption will affect parts of the city due to scheduled maintenance works.
As per the announcement, the water supply would be disrupted due to repair of a leakage in a pipeline near Niothi Mor. The DJB said in a tweet, “WATER ALERT!! Due to major repair work in 1100 mm dia. Header line feeding to 1100 mm dia West Delhi Main and 1200 mm dia Pitampura Main inside plant premises of Water Treatment Plant Haiderpur Ph-I, the water supply in the following areas shall not be available or at low pressure from the morning of 01.10.2024 (10:00 AM) to morning of 02.10.2024 (02:00 AM) i.e. 16 Hrs #DJB #ALERT #UPDATE”

Water emergency helpline
Residents if these areas of Delhi will not receive water between 10 am on Tuesday and 2 am on Wednesday. Hence, the Delhi Jal Board has advised the residents to store sufficient quantity of water to avoid any inconvenience. “Water tankers will be available on demand from the DJB helpline or the central control room,” the DJB said and added that people can call on number 9650291442 in case of water emergency.
