Bengaluru: A man residing in Bengaluru claimed that a group of Kannada activists disrupted the music at a pub where he was enjoying drinks. The activists insisted that the pub management played Kannada songs instead of English or Hindi music. The man said that pressure by such Kannada activist groups has led many pubs in Bengaluru to play Kannada music.
The man, Abhayjeet AJ, shared his experience on social media, and said, “I was at a pub in Bangalore when some locals arrived and demanded that Kannada music be played. Because of this pressure, pubs are hesitant to play English songs.”
Expressing disappointment, he asked if he was still in India or if Bengaluru had become a different country. “It seems like a new trend here that pubs don’t want to play English or Hindi music. What’s going on?” he questioned.
