Auto News

Maruti has unveiled the new Dzire in all its glory before its official launch on November 11, 2024. Here is everything you need to know about the new segment king.

The Dzire has always been one of the hot sellers for Maruti Suzuki and the new generation brings in with a fresh new design, a lot of features and a new engine option as well. It is based on the Swift, just like all other previous Dzires till date but this time round, Maruti has gone into a different direction and given it a completely different design to the Swift this time round.

This is indeed an all new generation of the Dzire and not a mere facelift of the previous mode. Everything from the chassis to the engine is new and Maruti has loaded the sub-compact sedan with a host of features. This is also going to be the most affordable Maruti to feature a sunroof which has been a hot feature for new car buyers across the country.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: What’s New

Lets start with the design, it gets all new design. There are new LED headlamps and LED foglamps as well. We get a new, larger grille up front as well and it has a more boxy shape to the front. From the side, it is quite similar to the previous version but there are a few changes still. There are new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and at the rear we get new LED taillamps.

The interior of the vehicle is identical to the new Swift but it has a lighter beige shade for the trims and the seats. You get a lot of features with the new Dzire. There is a sunroof, a 9-inch infotainment touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, 6-airbags, and rear AC vents.

In terms of the engine, this is the second car to get the all new 1.2L Z-Series NA petrol engine from the swift which produces 80 bhp and 111 Nm of torque. It is paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. There will also eventually be a CNG version for those who want a more efficient powertrain.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Should This Be Your First Sedan

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire will compete in the sub-4m compact sedan segment and there are only a few rivals. There is the Honda Amaze which also will receive and update in the upcoming months, the Hyundai Xcent and the Tata Tigor. The Dzire has always been the king of the segment in terms of efficiency, reliability and running costs. The new version promises even more and is currently offering a lot of segment features in the segment. It is also still one of the most efficient cars and would surely make for a great first sedan.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Launch and Pricing

Maruti has only showcased the vehicle for now. The official launch and price reveal will take place on November 11, 2024. Maruti has already started accepting the pre-bookings for the vehicle and customers can book the vehicle with a token amount of Rs 11,000. Deliveries are expected to commence right after the launch and we expect it to be priced from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
