New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday, November 5 revealed the list of 1574 players who have registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction. A total of 1165 Indian cricketers and 409 overseas cricketers registered their names for the mega auction.
The list contains some big names of Indian and overseas cricketers with the likes of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mitchell Starc and Jos Buttler going under the hammer. The IPL 2025 mega auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25. The auction list includes 320 capped cricketers, 1221 uncapped cricketers and 30 cricketers from Associate Nations.
Among the 409 overseas cricketers registered for the mega auction, 91 are from South Africa with the likes of Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada set to go under the hammer. While 76 cricketers from Australia registered for the mega auction. Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith are the big names from Australia who will go under the hammer in November.
76 players from England registered for the IPL mega auction. Ben Stokes opted out of the auction and is not part of the list while Jos Buttler and Sam Curran were not retained by their respective franchises and are also part of the mega auction list.
29 cricketers from Afghanistan have registered for the mega auction. Afghanistan’s T20I skipper Rashid Khan is the only player who has been retained by Gujarat Titans (GT). Likes Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammed Nabi and Azmatullah Omarzai are set to go under the hammer.
29 players from Sri Lanka, 13 from Bangladesh, 33 from West Indies and 10 from the USA have registered their names for the mega auction while one cricketer each from UAE and Italy has signed up for the mega auction.
