AP Deputy CM inaugurated a science lab at ZP High School, Gollaprolu, Pithapuram constituency in Kakinada district.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan slammed the police over inaction in tackling crime and rape cases in the state.

His remarks came at an event after inaugurating a science lab at ZP High School, Gollaprolu, Pithapuram constituency in Kakinada district.

“I have been saying this to Home Minister Anitha to that she has the responsibility of home ministry. I am merely a panchayati raj minister and environment and forest minister. She has a greater responsibility. If I am forced to take the home ministry, situation will be different.”

Addressing the law and order situation in the state, he said, “Is the duty of politicians just to get votes and not govern? What happened to police responsibility? I don’t understand why the police are afraid. In the previous government, the police and officials acted without control. Now they won’t even do their duty even if they’re being asked.

Criminals have no religion or caste. How many times do we say this? Criminals should be treated the way UP CM Yogi Adityanath treats them. Only then we can curb crime. We are being forced to take such actions here.”

Kalyan stated that the previous government did not work to curb crime and the consequences are being felt now.
