BMW has introduced a new Dark Flame edition for their X5Li and it features gold accents. This special edition is reserved only for the Chinese market and here is everything you need to know.

BMW sells the long wheelbase version of the X5 in the Chinese market, as they do for other very popular models as well. The Chinese love the extra legroom and they sure do like their cars blinged out. BMW has introduced the Dark Flame edition of the X5Li in the Chinese market. It is a fully loaded model and also features a lot of gold accents.

On the exterior, it features Sapphire Blue paint which is a very dark blue and almost looks black. Then there are the titan gold accents on the grille, the buper vents, the window trim, and all the badges have been done up in gold as well. It gets 22-inch alloy wheels painted in black, black exhaust tips, dark tinted taillights, and “Dark Flame” puddle lights greeting you with your special model every time you step into the car.

On the inside, things are pretty simple comparatively. There is black Sensafin leather interiors, dark grey Alcantara headliner, gold stitching on the seats, “starry sky” panoramic sunroof and the trim pieces are all carbon fibre which includes the dashboard and the centre console. It also gets “Dark Flame” logos on the sills, the seatbacks and also the cupholder cover.

The X5Li Dark Flame edition is fully loaded and every options box is ticked on it. It get a Harmon Kardon premium sound system, ventilated and heated seats, and four zone climate control.

The Dark Flame edition is powered by the 40i engine which is the 3.0L inline-six turbo petrol which produces 375 bhp and 520 Nm of torque. Power goes to all four wheels via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. It gets air suspension, M-Sport exhaust and M-Sport brakes as well.

The X5Li Dark Flame Edition will be limited to just 1,000 units in China and will have a starting price of 830,000 Yuan (around Rs 97.89 lakh)
