Now, empty the 3-litre jug, pour the 2 litres from the 5-litre jug into the 3-litre jug, then fill the 5-litre jug again. Pour from the 5-litre jug into the 3-litre jug until it is full. This will leave you with exactly 4 litres in the 5-litre jug.
