Haryana Assembly election results

In the October 5 Haryana elections, the BJP secured an unprecedented third consecutive term, winning 48 seats in the 90-member assembly, while the Congress won 37 seats. With this victory, Saini is set to be sworn in as chief minister for the second time.

Breaking from tradition, the BJP had announced ahead of the polls that Saini would remain chief minister if the party returned to power in Haryana. Saini had replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as chief minister in March. As an OBC leader, he won the Ladwa seat in the Kurukshetra district.
