The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced that Lok Sabha elections in the country will be held in seven phases, voting for 28 seats in Karnataka will be held in two phases on April 26 and May 7.

Bengaluru: Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka will be held in two phases, voting for 14 constituencies will be held on April 26 and for another 14 constituencies will vote on May 7, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar said at a press conference on Saturday and the counting of votes will take place on June 4.
Which constituencies will vote on which day?
There are 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka and the voting will be held on April 26 in the following constituencies – Chitradurga, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapura, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru-Kodagu, Chamarajanagara, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru South and Bengaluru Central constituencies. On May 7 the following constituencies will vote – Belagavi, Ballari, Chikkodi, Haveri-Gadag, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Hubballi-Dharwad, Koppal, Raichur, Uttara Kannada, Davangere, Shivamogga, Bagalkote, and Vijayapura constituencies.
How many people will vote during the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls?
According to the Election Commission of India, there are 97 crore registered voters in the country. There will be over 10.5 lakh voting booths with around 55 lakh EVMs.
Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases in the country beginning from April 19 to elect 543 members of Lok Sabha. In Karnataka, elections will be held for 28 constituencies.
The model of code conduct is in place today and the political parties have already started campaigning for upcoming elections.
